In 1954 Ed Bean purchased his first Crystal Glass location, an old service station on Edmonton’s Whyte Avenue. |
| Far from its initial start in 1949, Crystal Glass now boasts annual sales in the millions, and employs approximately 500 staff at the various companies under the Crystal Glass umbrella, including Can-Am Auto Glass & Supplies. The second Crystal Glass location opened in Red Deer in 1957, and a third opened in Calgary in 1958 and the next year, one in Medicine Hat. | |
