To The Trade
This booklet has been prepared
for your convenience in ordering glass and accessories for your
automobile. In it you will find practically any glass that you
will be called on to furnish, listed by cars, with model numbers,
of the manufacturers, our identifying item number, and other
information that will be helpful. We have used every effort to
make it as complete as possible.
All glass that your find listed
is carried in stock in each of the following grades: Plate Glass,
Three-Sixteenths Libbey-Owens and Shatterproof Glass cut to
pattern with edges properly finished. Perhaps a few words
describing each quality will be interesting.
| PLATE GLASS
by virtue of its process of manufacture its surface is
absolutely true, affording perfect vision, no distortion, no
discoloration, throughout its entire life.
THREE-SIXTEENTHS
LIBBEY-OWENS. The name denotes the thickness of the
glass itself which is the ideal thickness for automobile
use. It is made, primarily, for this purpose. It is drawn
flat, absolutely clear and uniform in thickness, perfectly
annealed and very little waviness, stronger than any other
glass of equal thickness. |

SHATTERPROOF GLASS Is made
from two pieces of thin plate glass with a very thin sheet of
celluloid between, all cemented together and the edges sealed as a
safeguard against moisture. When broken the glass does not shatter
into flying fragments that endanger the eyes of the occupants of
the car. A good safe glass for automobiles and well worth the
advanced cost as a matter of safety and protection.
When ordering any glass, be sure
to give our number, as this will eliminate the possibility of
mistake. Also state the kind of glass desired and how to ship.
Whenever kind of glass is not specified, we will ship plate glass
for windshields and three-sixteenth Libbey-Owens Flat Drawn Sheet
Glass for all other parts. In absence of routing, we will use our
judgment, whether freight, truck line or express.
Should you need a glass that is
not listed, give us the make of car, model, manufacturers, part
number if possible and where the glass is intended to fit, and we
will ship it to you the same day that the order is received.
