Setting Wipers on DW1293 Windshield

After replacing the windshield in a venture van I always found it very difficult to set the drivers side wiper so it wouldn't sweep past the molding and possibly get stuck in the door when the customer opens it to find out why his wiper is going past their molding.

1. Put the wipers in delay mode.

2. Turn ignition on so the wiper motor runs. When the wiper motor park in the delay mode, then turn the ignition off.

3. Now set the wipers on the wiper posts, now with a measuring tape measure 5" from the rubber hood seal to the bottom of the passenger side wiper. Then measure from the hood seal 12" to the bottom of the drivers side wiper.

4. Spray some glass cleaner on the windshield, run the wipers on full power just to double check the wiper sweep.

5. Don't forget to replace plastic nut covers.
