How is the Essex Speedlink 208 working for you guys that have it?

I just got the package. It skins pretty quick at 70 degrees and 50-60% RH. I don't think you have much more than 8 or 9 minutes to get the glass down before its skinning over.  LIB

If you have to change the glue to a new sausage pack you better be fast. also the plastic piece that releases the clutch broke after the third time used. But I love that 2 hour drive away time. shot a car windshield cracked going in I left urethane on the body of the car about 2 hours later trimmed it off 90%cured clean.  carglass1

According to my Tech's if you run a large bead with the new 208 it has some substantial body unlike the 216. We have adjusted our bead height. If you run large beads like I used to the windshield will be tough to get in flush.  Glass Rep

The gun is a hard to use changing the sausage pack in the gun is a little bit of a pain especially if you run out in the middle of shooting a car but the urethane is great stuff and worth the bother.  carglass

The gun is heavier than a single tube gun but it is balanced. I don't have any problem holding the gun. The urethane skins very fast in warm and humid weather. You can use a opened pack for at least a week. Just pull the plug out of a used tip or just screw on a new tip.  LIB

After seeing the gun and its massive size I was concerned. But I use the Betaseal on everything, so holding the gun with a full bag of thane was heavy, but very well balanced and manageable. Better than the Beta gun.  Colorado Glass Man

U-208 drive away times are impressive, when applied correctly. I recommend a trip to the Essex website for all installers that use Essex products.  Andrew
