Has anyone ever bought a GM kit for the 2000 Cadillac STS rain sensor? Any details would be appreciated   DMG

I bought one of these GM kits for a 2000 Olds recently, it was expensive ($60?) but Lynx did pay it. Comes with complete instructions, includes a little tray and a chemical for removal of the old adhesive as well as the new adhesive. Seems like a lot of bother if mere clear tape will do the job, but it's the prescribed method.  Craig

The list price for rain sensor GM part# 25645365 is $45.50 unless the Chevy dealership I'm using is making it up.  JMO

It comes with two usable sticky pieces that you can use. But what I do is take a heat gun to the outside of the glass and heat it up .Very warm. And then carefully pull the rain sensor off. Nine out of ten times it will pull off and I can reuse it, never falling back off. And they work with no problem.  Smartglass

3M makes a clear mounting tape that you can buy for about $4.00. It's 1"x60" and will do a whole lot of these rain sensors.  BG
