Pull all interior moldings & visors. Outer upper
moldings held on with T-bolts & 3/8 nuts. Sides have screws under pillar seal and clips like hard top sides. On the sides usually the clips just pull off when you pull on the
molding be sure to put them back on the studs. We leave the bottom on the car as they can be a bear to put on with the glass in place. You can put the rubber on the glass and rope it in, or put the rubber in the bottom and half way up the sides and work the glass in that way.
On these and most other older rubber set
w/s's the seal holds the glass but wont seal it alone. You need to seal these especially between the bottom of the rubber and the body, also you need to clean out the dirt and dust to get a good seal. Lay a 3/8 bead of after seal on the bottom before you put in glass or inst rubber. Install glass, seal between rubber and pinch weld, seal between rubber and
glass, reassemble & clean. BG
...have a '67 Mustang ragtop to do. What is "afterseal?"
Adco or Titan WB 300 or R 900 will work, it's like the old
Essex e708.
Check for preexisting leaks b4 starting job without getting glass wet.
You are going to open a can of worms if you don't.
