TeleGlass Adds Mygrant Glass as Strategic Partner

Driving to become a front-runner in the $3 billion autoglass repair and replacement business, TeleGlass National Corporation has announced the addition of Hayward, California-based Mygrant Glass Company, the US’s largest independent wholesale-only distributor of OEM automotive replacement glass, to its fast-growing list of strategic partners and licensees.

The partnership agreement enables TeleGlass shops to conduct business transactions on-line with Mygrant Glass’ 27 distribution branches, ensuring enhanced service responsiveness and cost efficiencies for their autoglass customers.

TeleGlass is the first national provider of autoglass services to employ Internet technology in glass claims processing. The company’s Web site enables local autoglass shops to check glass availability and order glass directly from Mygrant’s distribution branches, schedule deliveries, and make appointments while servicing a customer in the store or over the telephone.

"Industry consolidation, more aggressive insurers and price competition have made it increasingly imperative for regional and local autoglass shops to remain competitive," said Robert Rosenfield, president and founder of TeleGlass National. "Our Internet technology gives our partners, licensees and customers more precise control, more efficient capabilities and a consistent service model."

TeleGlass’ service model focuses on:

  • Eliminating extra telephone calls between partners such as Mygrant Glass, insurance carriers, and TeleGlass shops;
  • Creating certainty in scheduling customer appointments; and
  • Eliminating miscommunications and delays that jeopardize the timely delivery of valid quotes, service and parts.

"The TeleGlass relationship ensures that Mygrant Glass can respond promptly to any contingencies that may arise," said Mike Mygrant, president of Mygrant Glass.

"Cutting-edge use of the Internet and electronic commerce allow us to create improvements and efficiencies which have real value to autoglass shops and their customers."

Established in 1952, Mygrant Glass Company, Inc., enjoys a reputation for aggressive, friendly service and an extensive inventory of replacement glass from manufacturers such as Carlite, PPG, LOF, Mopar, APT and Guardian. As a wholesale only replacement autoglass distributor, the company does not compete with its retail customers.

TeleGlass National Corporation of Woburn, Massachusetts, is a leading national provider of autoglass services. The company provides a seamless process that interactively links glass manufacturers, distributors, service providers, insurance carriers and agents in an efficient, customer-responsive service delivery system.
