Oldcastle Glass
Group, the largest independent glass fabricator and temperer in North
America, has introduced a new Web site at www.Oldcastle-Glass.com.
"Our initial focus has been in providing a
unified, common location for information about our products and services,
as well as all of our companies throughout the United States and
Canada," said Jerry Kottelenberg, Oldcastle's vice president of
information technology.
Part of CRH plc (Nasdaq:CRHCY), a
multi-billion-dollar global building products group headquartered in
Dublin, Ireland, all of Oldcastle Glass Group's fabricating operations are
locally-managed and maintain their individual identities, including such
well-respected names as HGP Industries, O&W Glass, General Glass,
United Tempering Systems, Downey Glass, Tempglass, North American Glass,
Glass Distributors of America, Armourguard, Wescan, Free State Glass
Industries and Oldcastle Specialty Glass. They all, however, draw on the
full resources of each other for meeting specialized needs.
"With 36 facilities throughout the U.S. and
Canada," Kottelenberg explained, "it's important for all of our
customers in the architectural, residential and specialty glass industries
to understand the full breadth of our services, and the vast capabilities
and expertise we can bring to their projects."
In addition to providing a simple, centralized way
to find information about any Oldcastle Glass company, the site also
includes a library of product literature that can be either viewed
on-line, or downloaded for later reference.
"We believe the Internet will be an
increasingly important resource for our customers," Kottelenberg
added, "and we're laying the groundwork for some very exciting new
Web-based tools and applications." |
