Len Stolk Leaves US Carlite School
|
|
Len Stolk, of the Carlite Automotive Glass Technical Services Group, is moving on to other endeavors for the Ford Glass Division in Canada. Len's "claim to fame" has been to head up the Carlite Auto Glass Technician School, which is offered several times yearly in Dearborn, Michigan. His efforts to promote proper installation and safety have been lauded by the industry. Len came to Carlite from Ford's Niagara, Canada Glass plant. For some reason, his work visa / green card was not renewed. There is hope that Len may be able to develop a Carlite School operation in Canada, perhaps in Windsor, and the possibility exists that he may be able to travel back "across the border" on an infrequent basis to help out with the training school he has worked hard to develop. Len will be working out of Ford's Canadian Parts Operations offices near Toronto to start. Ron Hymore, from Ford's Engineering and Research Department will be taking over as Director of the school. John Neilans, also with a Ford Engineering / Research background, will replace Rod Watson as Technical Manager. Rod will shift to the CARS program (Carlite Autoglass Replacement System) dealing with Ford internal sales.
