IGA Issues Bulletin
on Safelite Filing

The Independent Glass
Association has issued a Fax Bulletin to its members on the subject of
Safelite's recent Chapter 11 filing. Tim Smale, IGA CEO, reports that the
IGA has received numerous inquiries for advice on how best to deal with
the many issues surrounding this topic.
Smale indicated that the IGA can not legally advise its members whether to continue doing business with the Safelite Glass Network, but is trying to give accurate and credible information so members can make a wise decision. In a phone call to Smale, John Barlow, Safelite CEO, explained the facts from his perspective, and that he expects Safelite to emerge from bankruptcy by September 12, 2000. |
