IGA Announces AmeriGlass Group Buying Program

'99 Survey indicated 85%
of IGA Members Requested

The Independent Glass Association announced the AmeriGlass Group Buying program at the IGA Auto Glass Show and Convention in Orlando, Florida, February 10-12, 2000. During the convention, IGA C.E.O. Tim Smale, IGA CEO, presented the program details to independent glass dealers. Many independents signed up for the offer to become charter members

The program is owned and administered by the IGA, a non-profit corporation, which has set up a subsidiary non-profit corporation that is wholly owned by the IGA. Any information submitted thru the IGA / AmeriGlass program is said to be kept confidential and will not be shared between members.

AmeriGlass was developed in response to a 1999 survey where 85% of the IGA members requested a group-buying program. The program is designed to strengthen independent glass dealers by combining their purchase volume and uniting their efforts to improve market conditions. AmeriGlass participants will earn rewards that far outweigh the cost to join, and AmeriGlass suppliers have an opportunity to increase market share and reduce their cost of doing business with independents.

The IGA has established a separate website www.ameriglass.org where details can be found. The IGA website is located at www.iga.org
