| Allstate’s web site
was rated highest for online services in a study released today by
kasina, a strategic management consulting firm, entitled “Top 20
Web Sites – Property & Casualty Insurance.” kasina, which
provides e-business solutions to financial services companies,
evaluated 284 web sites from U.S.-based property and casualty
insurance companies in five categories: branding, content, online
services, usability, and web technology. kasina also ranked the
company third for its effective use of the Allstate brand.
“Allstate made our top 20 list
for its service to existing customers and because it’s easy for
new customers to form a relationship with the firm,” said kasina
CEO Steven Miyao.
“We also like how Allstate
supports its agent base by prominently using a “Find an Agent”
tool on the web site. Other features on the web site are customized
insurance quotes, personal account access, claim filing, and various
educational tools.
“At a time when the property and
casualty marketplace is trying to harness the vast opportunities
that the Internet presents, Allstate is an obvious leader with a
clear vision for its Internet presence,” continued Miyao.
“We are committed to providing
our customers with a one-stop, easy to use insurance resource,”
said Jeff Lewis, vice president, distribution channel, Allstate
Insurance Company. “Allstate.com is simply one of the ways we are
enabling this. Customers can access similar services as those
offered online via 1-800-Allstate or their local Allstate agent.”
