Diamond Triumph Auto
Glass, Inc., the third largest automotive glass replacement provider in
the United States, announced that sales for the month of February, 2000
exceeded $15,500,000, a record month for the company.
Richard Rutta, Diamond Triumph’s Co-Chairman and Co-CEO, noted: “Sam Levine, the grandfather of both Kenny and myself, founded this company in 1923 and was committed to offering the consumer a safe, quality installation at a fair price. I know our 1700 employees are proud that we continue to carry out his philosophy after over 75 years in business.” Norm Harris, the company’s President, added “We are particularly satisfied that we have continued to expand our store base with the opening of 4 new stores in 2000, in addition to the 22 we opened in 1999, a period in which much of the industry has been consolidating.” As previously noted, in 1999 Diamond Triumph continued its Southern and Western expansion commencing glass operations in 6 new states. Ken Levine, Co-Chairman and Co-CEO, had the following comments regarding the company, “In light of the recent challenges that everyone has faced in the auto glass industry, we are particularly pleased that given the opportunity to perform, our people have responded impressively.
