California Bureau of Automotive Repair Accuses
Safelite of Violating Numerous Regulations

California's Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) has done an investigation of Safelite Auto Glass by sending investigators to Safelite shops to have auto glass replaced. The result is that the State has filed a 60+ plus page  'accusation' of violating California Code of Regulations.

BAR, a division of the California Department of Consumer Affairs, is known to be a tough enforcer of the numerous regulations for doing automotive repair in the state of California. Most of the violations Safelite is accused of relate to improper paperwork and invoicing, such as omitting items including pricing, customer acknowledgement, odometer readings, as well as not providing the customer with an estimate prior to starting the repair.
