Insurance Enlists LYNX
Allstate Insurance has announced it has contracted with Lynx Services of PPG to help administer it's auto glass claims. Allstate will continue its' primary arrangement that it has had for sometime, Safelite, but in an effort to sustain a higher compliance ratio, has decided to add LYNX as an additional vendor. Allstate is trying to increase the ratio of EDI invoicing, and eliminate the amount of paper invoices it receives from vendors. The program is set up to follow the same procedure (all calls going to Safelite's Glass Claims Express). If the insured wishes to use a non-Safelite shop or a shop not participating in the Safelite Network, the call is supposed to be transferred to LYNX, who then will set up the insured with the shop, and process all paperwork. According to Allstate, reimbursements on the billing through Lynx services will be based on "prevailing market rates". This is similar to the State Farm arrangement that Lynx also handles. |
